2024–2025 | Tiered Football Jersey System + Soccer Collection Expansion
ORIM X RIVER RIDGE TIER 1 'EDGE' FOOTBALL SET
Problem
A growing independent school athletics program with no in-house technical capability needed to develop a tiered uniform system (three quality/price levels) and expand into soccer. Factory miscommunication and no technical documentation meant delays and fit failures on samples.
Solution
Led complete technical design and production liaison across the jersey pipeline. The process began with a player focus group that tested the Tier 1 chassis architecture—evaluating shoulder articulation, torso panel placement, and compression mapping across 15 athletes in real-match scenarios. This validation informed the final construction blueprint and proved the gradient compression system (420 GSM quads → 300 GSM calves) delivered measurable performance uplift.

ORIM x RIVER RIDGE
Tier 2 'Temper' Away Jersey
Simultaneously, competitive analysis revealed a market gap: every major athletic brand (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour) relied on mass-standardized fits and bulk-heavy seaming. ORIM Tier 1 diverged entirely—ultrasonic welding eliminated seam drag, biometric laser-perforated venting was engineered to actual athlete sweat patterns, and forged aluminum hardware cut 45% weight versus industry standard.

NIKE (Standard Multi Stitch) vs ORIM (Ultrasonic Welding / Bonding)
Logo revamping was technical, not aesthetic. The original patch design created dead-weight integration and fabric stiffness. We replaced it with a 3D molded sonic-welded TPU logo that maintained 100% elasticity—a design decision that became a signature differentiator visible in the final product.

Tier 2 'Temper' Away Logo Sublimation
Built a unified tech pack system for Tier 1/2/3, with factory-grade patterns and grading. Developed the soccer collection informed by SS27 WGSN research (macro narrative: "Interconnectedness Between Polarities"), translating trend direction into construction language. Served as direct liaison through sampling, managing production gates and construction QC with zero rework cycles.
Why ORIM Tier 1 Stands Apart
ORIM's tiered system is engineered for performance. Every component—from joinery to compression mapping—was selected to outperform industry standards. This table shows where ORIM technology diverges from mass-market solutions, and why that difference matters on the field.
